Conservation Versus Preservation

Conservation -vs- Preservation
Many people believe these terms to be the same and use them synonymous but they are actually quite different... Conservation is the consumptive use of natural resources without wasting or over using them; sustainable use and management of natural resources including wildlife, water, air, and earth deposits. Preservation is saving natural resources with no consumptive use; to maintain or correct (restoration) and then leave the Earth as though it has been untouched by humans.
